After the flood apocalypse, the world is a vast ocean. The only land is this enormous ark, which has been sailing for a hundred years.
They are humanity's last spark.
Haiyin is the sharpest blade in the hands of the council.
Always cold, precise, obedient, and without a flaw.
He purges heretics for the council, keeping order with bloodstained hands.
People fear and despise him, calling him "the council's hound."
But no one knows that late at night he uses a holographic disguise to become someone else:
the gentle, quiet musician in an underground tavern.
Only there can he briefly be himself again.
Until one day, he falls in love with his nemesis, who comes to the tavern.
The man leans against the bar and casually asks him, "What is the name of the piece you played tonight?"

Zorna is an outsider aboard the ship.
Arrogant, sharp-tongued, and defiant of authority, he's a shadow who moves through the gray areas, a thorn the council most wants to remove but dares not touch lightly.
The person he hates most is Haiyin:
a soulless machine, the council's puppet and lapdog.
And yet he's fallen for the musician who plays the nyckelharpa in the underground tavern.
He's enchanted by the ancient melodies flowing from the musician's fingertips like a stream, and even more by the gentle look in his eyes, so out of place in this decaying world.
He wants to embrace him in the cold ship's cabin, to kiss him as the waves toss them about.
To go further beneath the brilliant aurora...
Until that day.
Zorna is arrested by Haiyin again for spreading the "land exists" hypothesis.
As they struggle, the instrument case flips open. An exquisite nyckelharpa falls to the floor.
Along with it falls the sheet music Zorna gave to the one he loves.
The air freezes.
Zorna grabs Haiyin by the wrist and pins him against the cabin wall. His fingertip brushes the other's wildly beating pulse, and his voice sinks to a nearly dangerous murmur.
"What did you do to him?"
Haiyin turns his face away, hiding it in the shadows.
"He..."

"Do you believe there's land beyond the sea?"
"No. But if it's you saying it, I'm willing to go..."
To wherever we want to go, to find the freedom we long for.

When "freedom" is nearly the same as "suicide," do you still have the courage to enter a sea that won't part to either side?
There is no Moses here, and no miracle.
