After the Shonen Manga Hero Dies

[Third-person narration]

Lu Qing died, and I attended his funeral.

His best friend, nemesis, and younger sister all cried for him.

I didn't.

I was even surprised they were crying so hard.

I was the one who loved him most.

That's how it was in the setting.

Although They said Lu Qing was a better ship with his best friend, his nemesis, and his younger sister.

I didn't believe them.

Now I'm starting to believe it. They really did love him.

The whole world loves Lu Qing because he's the male lead.

What about me?

Who loves the heroine?

"I do. I love you, Qiu Fei."

The dead are speaking.

I don't respond. There's no need to keep lying to the dead.

I tell him I don't love him. On the contrary, I'm jealous of him, and I want everything he has.

"What do you mean by everything, Qiu Fei?"

Everything means...

I want your radiance, your glory, your popularity, your combat prowess.

I want your best friend, your nemesis, your younger sister.

I want to take your place as the new protagonist of the story.
