The Players Are in Cahoots with the NPCs

While other players are fighting tooth and nail for rankings, money, and power, Wen Rugu has already maxed out an account. She chooses to give up and enters the crematorium in the game's lower-tier district, taking a government-assigned job as a corpse collector.

She plans to coast along like this.

But the NPC master she killed years ago for a game mission has come back from the dead.

What's more, the organization of NPCs behind him, which opposes the game's invasion, is doing everything it can to recruit her.

In fact, she has also realized that so-called game players...

are merely puppets forcibly dragged into the game, wearing the skins of people from another world and controlled by the game through their lives and interests.

She figures that it's just a game, so there's no point playing it too safe. Letting the game organizers be the only winners is no fun. She's going to stir everything up and go completely wild. That's the only way to enjoy it!

From then on, she and the NPCs are up to no good, stealing player cities, disrupting the front lines, and carrying out terrorist attacks while players hold religious gatherings. She never turns back from these "villainous" acts.
