My High School Life Is Definitely Not a Romantic Comedy

My name is Kashima Ritsu. I'm a first-year student at Nekoma High School. I get good grades and have a cheerful personality. Though I'm not good at sports, I'm quite popular at school.

In reality, I'm also a moderately well-known rookie shonen manga artist, and my first long-running series is currently being serialized to great acclaim!

Before I started high school, my friend Nozaki, who is also a manga artist, told me, "High school life won't be like a manga, but you'll have plenty of manga deadlines to meet."

I thought he was absolutely right.

Then, in the second month of high school, my room and my classmate's room merged. Literally.

That night, I opened the door and saw the person sitting on his own bed in the room behind me. Where there had been a wall was now a very wide-open space.

The next day, when I saw the dark circles under the eyes of the person behind me, I knew the night before hadn't been a dream.

After that, all sorts of people started appearing in my life out of the blue.

Besides the person behind me, there was my editor's younger brother, a young college student who worked as a manga assistant...

One day, my friend Nozaki said, "Isn't this a romantic comedy?"

Me: !!!

Nozaki: "You even have a childhood friend. That's such a classic setup. Can I use you as a model?"

Me: "Please don't!"

1. Current male love interests in the outline: the person behind him, Kozume Kenma; childhood friend, Akaashi Keiji; editor's younger brother, Komori Motoya; manga assistant, Unai Tenma.

2. Extremely OOC. Let's just say it's my own interpretation (wipes sweat).

3. The main story is in third person, not first person.

Theme: A fun youth romantic comedy
