The moment Mo Qingci met Zhou Wan, it seemed as though someone had whispered that this was the person destined for him. Zhou Wan never looked down on him for being poor, and stayed by his side through everything.
He ought to have remained faithful to Zhou Wan, but he couldn't ignore his senior brother Zhu Lianshuang, who had brought him back to the Lingxiao Sect and made life difficult for Zhou Wan at every turn. Zhu Lianshuang made his heart itch, no matter how hard he tried to look away.
One day, Mo Qingci fell to demonic corruption, and his true origins were finally revealed.
Caught between two impossible choices, Zhu Lianshuang was the first to draw his sword against him. Mo Qingci struck him away with one palm, severing all ties between them.
He never imagined that would be the last time they saw each other.
Mo Qingci was consumed by regret. He searched all three realms for a way to revive Zhu Lianshuang, but to no avail.
Until Zhu Lianshuang, now unrecognizable, returned to the cultivation world for the clingy young man at his side. Mo Qingci saw with his own eyes as the young man kissed Zhu Lianshuang into a daze beside the spirit pool, where Mo Qingci had once abandoned Zhu Lianshuang.
After the kiss, the young man shot a mocking glance at Mo Qingci, hidden in the shadows.
Mo Qingci was consumed by fury.
