University campus: scheming, fake-nice hypocrite x scatterbrained, sweet innocent
Jiang Tiao had a universally known nemesis.
They bickered whenever they met and never had a kind word for each other, yet his nemesis was like a masochist, always looking for excuses to hang around him.
Eventually even their mutual friends couldn't stand it. They urged the two of them to stop being so hostile toward each other. They'd been neighbors and playmates since childhood, after all. Why not turn their swords into plowshares?
Jiang Tiao thought that was complete nonsense.

Everyone praised Xun Ze for being outstanding. Only Jiang Tiao knew what a jerk he was.
When Jiang Tiao did poorly on an exam in his second year of high school, Xun Ze, the class monitor, pretended to comfort him at school.
That evening, he showed up at Jiang Tiao's house with his schoolbag and showed off his first-in-the-grade problem-solving skills, working through ten problems of the same type right in front of him.
In their third year, a girl in the year below confessed to Jiang Tiao. Xun Ze said with feigned sincerity that they should focus on studying in their final year and he shouldn't let her distract him.
That evening, under the pretext of a childish game of Truth or Dare, he confessed to Jiang Tiao, throwing him off his game and making him do badly on his practice exams. Xun Ze, meanwhile, easily claimed first place in the grade.
After putting up with Xun Ze's two-faced ways for so long, Jiang Tiao wanted to roll his eyes every time he saw him. To keep himself from getting so mad he'd lose his mind at a young age, he started taking detours whenever he spotted Xun Ze.
But Xun Ze wouldn't leave him alone. Though they were in the two most distant departments, he followed Jiang Tiao around every day, getting on his nerves.
At last, Jiang Tiao couldn't take it anymore. “Can you get the hell away from me?!”
Xun Ze had gauze wrapped around his head from an injury he'd suffered for Jiang Tiao. His eyes were red as he replied, humbly giving in, “All right.”
Jiang Tiao: “…”
Xun Ze: “After all, I've had a crush on you for so many years. Of course I'll listen to what you say.”
Jiang Tiao: “...Your mom.”
Jiang Tiao wiggled his fingers, the tips of his ears turning red. “Get over here and kiss me.”
