Bai Qi is an omega at the very bottom of the slums. He has no parents and no money, and can only get by day to day through odd jobs.

But one day, he finds an alpha.

Everything about the alpha is expensive. After bringing him home, Bai Qi sells off all the valuable things on him. He has no intention of looking after the alpha, but then...

The alpha wakes up, but he's lost his mind. He can't remember his past or even his own name, and insists on living with Bai Qi.

The alpha is clingy, so Bai Qi has no choice but to keep him around. The man is strong and can earn a lot of money.

But the day after the wedding, the alpha disappears. Bai Qi searches for him for a long time without success, until he discovers that he's pregnant, and also learns who his alpha is.

It turns out his alpha is named Qi Heyan, a prince of the Empire. When they meet again, Qi Heyan looks at him with nothing but disgust. “Once the baby is born, leave. Then we'll get divorced.”

Bai Qi doesn't know why the alpha has changed, but all he can manage is a meek,

“Okay.”

Bai Qi marries into the imperial family, but no one around him likes him, and neither does Qi Heyan.

The alpha bites his gland in bed, then turns around and says he's filthy. Bai Qi doesn't like this kind of alpha.

Someone even tells Bai Qi, “Your alpha is going to marry someone else.”

Only then does Bai Qi learn that Qi Heyan plans to marry another omega...

Fine, then. He doesn't like Qi Heyan anymore, either, and he doesn't want the baby. Once the child is born, he'll go back to the slums and be the omega everyone despises again.

Jiang Shuyu arrives late to Jiang Cheng's birthday party, and the only seat left is beside Wen Sushi. He walks over expressionlessly and gives him his present. Just as he's about to leave, Wen Sushi stops him.

“Why don't you sit down and eat?”

Jiang Shuyu has no choice but to sit beside the alpha. No one likes him. At the party, they take out his present and mock him. “It's so cheap. I thought you and your mom would be just like each other and find some rich guy to support you.”

“He's just a lowly beta. Who could ever like him?”

“...”

Jiang Shuyu says nothing as he listens to their taunts. He gets up and leaves the party, only for Wen Sushi to follow him out.

“Jiang Shuyu, have we met before?”

“No.”

Jiang Shuyu denies it, then lifts his chin. “This is the first time we've met properly.”

Wen Sushi doesn't remember that night, and he'll never know that a child with alpha blood is growing inside Jiang Shuyu.

Jiang Shuyu is pregnant with Wen Sushi's child...

He was going to have an abortion, but Wen Sushi starts sticking to him. He follows him to meals, to the library, and even to his part-time job.

And that's not all. Whenever someone bullies him, Wen Sushi stands up for him. Rumors even begin to spread around the academy that Wen Sushi is keeping him.

Jiang Shuyu can't take it anymore. He asks Wen Sushi outright, “Why are you always following me?”

Wen Sushi looks at him innocently. “Because I want to pursue you. I can protect you. Will you give me a chance?”

A lunatic.

Jiang Shuyu thinks Wen Sushi has gone crazy. He starts avoiding him, trying to find an opportunity to end the pregnancy. A beta like him can't be with Wen Sushi.

He knows perfectly well that they aren't right for each other.

Once, when he returns from the hospital, he sees the alpha standing outside his room, drenched from head to toe, eyes bloodshot. In a humble voice, Wen Sushi asks, “Jiang Shuyu...”

“Do you hate our child that much?”
