Shi Ye, a college senior about to graduate, was having a terrible time looking for a job.
Every day, he woke up to resumes and talked about interviews. He even practiced interview techniques in his dreams. And yet, a job still seemed impossibly far away.
Just as he was starting to think he would have to deliver takeout after graduation to support himself, a windfall fell right into his lap.
Holding the windfall, Shi Ye was deeply suspicious that he was being scammed. "Are you sure you're not trying to trick me?"
Lawyer: "Of course not. This is the will."
Shi Ye: "...It's not that I don't believe you, but this is way too similar to the dream I had last night. No, wait. Let me call the police first."
In the end, Shi Ye and the lawyer walked out of the police station together. Shi Ye had no choice but to believe it: he really had an uncle who had passed away, and he really had inherited a huge villa.
Wow... WOW!!!
Shi Ye had always longed for a quiet country life. As soon as he graduated, he moved into the villa and discovered that it had a huge front yard and backyard where he could do whatever he wanted.
Once he got there, Shi Ye realized he had inherited more than just a luxurious villa. There was also an adorable orange cat. He flipped through the will, and there was the little cat, along with a lovely name.
Shi Ye loved animals, so he happily accepted. But gradually, he noticed something strange. The desserts he put in the fridge kept mysteriously disappearing. One or two tomatoes and cucumbers vanished from the big garden every day. There were even signs that someone had used the upstairs bathroom. Just as Shi Ye's mind began to wander toward ghosts, the little cat turned into an eight-year-old brat right in front of him.
Ah, so what he inherited wasn't a little cat, but a half-demon!
Later, Shi Ye opened a small restaurant that only served dinner, and its customers ranged across an astonishing variety of backgrounds.
And so began Shi Ye's ordinary yet mysterious daily life of raising a kid and running a restaurant.
