After He Let His Wife Go, She Didn't Wait for Him

Chen Ye and his wife, Lin Jinglan, were childhood sweethearts who naturally married once they came of age.

Later, the Lin family fell into ruin, and Lin Jinglan's parents passed away. Chen Ye vowed to treat her well for the rest of their lives.

Until one day, Chen Ye brought home a pretty orphan girl.

He told Lin Jinglan, “I mistook what I felt for you for love. In truth, I only ever saw you as a younger sister. She is the one I love. But don’t worry, I’ll still treat you well for the rest of your life.”

“All right.” Lin Jinglan smiled gently, but her heart had shattered into desolation.

In the second year after the orphan girl entered the household, she gave birth to a son.

Chen Ye said apologetically, “Niaoniao is the mother of my first child. She shouldn’t be made a concubine, so I can only give you a divorce letter. But don’t worry, I’ve bought you a house in the eastern suburbs. I’ll still treat you well for the rest of your life.”

“All right.” Lin Jinglan's smile was as gentle as ever.

Seeing this, Chen Ye breathed a sigh of relief.

The next day, Lin Jinglan left with the divorce letter.

A month later, the baby’s full-month celebration arrived.

Niaoniao suggested inviting Lin Jinglan to the banquet.

Chen Ye’s expression shifted, and he immediately sent someone to invite her. But he was told that no one had ever lived in the house in the eastern suburbs.

Panicked, Chen Ye searched everywhere for Lin Jinglan. At last, he found her in a small border town.

Dressed in plain clothes, she smiled gently at the dark-skinned man beside her.

When she saw Chen Ye, Lin Jinglan gave him a gentle smile. “Oh, it’s you. Long time no see.”

“Who is he?” the man asked.

“My older brother,” Lin Jinglan replied.

Chen Ye felt his heart pierced, bleeding profusely.
