The Perennial Runner-Up's Daily Life of Spoiling His Wife

A hilarious, wildly imaginative GL story: a Hu Jian female prince consort × a gorgeous eldest princess

Blurb:

On an ordinary, sunny afternoon, the newly appointed second-place graduate of the imperial examinations cheerfully walked into a bookshop to buy an illustrated storybook. After flipping through the pages for a while, she grew more and more annoyed.

Unable to hold back, she slapped the table. "Hey, shopkeeper, why are all the leads in these stories top-ranked graduates or third-place graduates? What about the second-place graduate? Why not write about one? Is this some kind of discrimination?" (In a Hu Jian accent.)

The shopkeeper said, "A second-place graduate just doesn't sound very nice. It sounds like 'ungrateful wolf.' Nobody would buy a story like that."

A customer who had come to buy a book chimed in, "Exactly. We don't like love stories about second-place graduates either. Always second best, neither here nor there, with no room for the imagination."

Lu Qi: QAQ

If that's how you feel, then I'll write one myself!

So she set to work, furiously writing A Second-Best Graduate's Everyday Life Pampering His Wife.

But after three months on sale, only one person had bought it.

Lu Qi was heartbroken.
