Jiang Wan's eighteenth year was spent working part-time to pay her living expenses and taking odd jobs wherever she could.
Zhao Wanqing's eighteenth year was one in which the world lay open before her, ready to be explored whenever she pleased.
The two of them should never have crossed paths, except that one had money and the other needed it.
When they first met, Zhao Wanqing was exhausted from family troubles. She sat across from Jiang Wan and watched her finish every last bite of her chicken cutlet rice in the cafeteria.
Autumn at Z University was beautiful. It was the season they met.
When they met again, Zhao Wanqing was still living in comfort, while Jiang Wan sat in a real estate agency, eating a ten-yuan boxed meal. In a white shirt and black trousers, she looked drab and forlorn, yet lit up Zhao Wanqing's memories in an instant.
They had broken up three years ago. They should have moved on, but one wanted to run and the other wanted to chase.
Zhao Wanqing was left battered and bruised for Jiang Wan's sake, so much so that even Jiang Wan thought it wasn't worth it.
But the question wasn't whether Zhao Wanqing was willing. It was whether Jiang Wan was worth it.
A stubborn person needs a lover who won't let them push them away.
The Zhao family's eldest daughter, whose life had always gone smoothly, never expected to stumble time and again over Jiang Wan.
Her friend once said that if Jiang Wan so much as crooked a finger at her, she'd drop everything and go back to her side.
She thought the saying was cheesy, but never denied it.
From the first moment she saw Jiang Wan again, she knew she didn't want to let go.
Blurb for the upcoming novel Summer Falling from the Sky:
[Sweet-talking, even sweeter-hearted, outgoing, cheerful ray-of-sunshine puppy x Sharp-tongued but honest, cool-faced, warm-hearted, insecure kitten]
[High school graduate x Writer who dabbles in everything]
A healing, fluffy romance, happy ending, updated daily
Eight-year age gap, the older one falls first, older top
Summer, age eighteen, after the college entrance exam.
It should have been the most carefree summer vacation of He Changxia's life, but the first thing she learned after the exam was that her parents were getting divorced.
He Changxia stood beneath the window outside her home, counting the ants at her feet and anxiously waiting for fate to descend.
Her aunt, studying abroad, bought her a plane ticket so she could get away for a while in a city thousands of miles away.
Her aunt warned her that someone at the destination would provide a place to stay, but the homeowner had a strange personality, hardly spoke, and disliked socializing. Whether she went was entirely up to her.
With her backpack on, He Changxia set off for a strange city, as determined as her mother.
Chen Xunyan wasn't living well, but she couldn't die, either.
She lived alone in a small room and had almost no friends, except He Qingxi.
One day in early June, He Qingxi suddenly asked her to temporarily take in a soon-to-be university student.
Chen Xunyan thought it would be nothing more than a landlord-tenant arrangement, but she never imagined that this cheerful, talkative girl seemed to have been born knowing how to love.
Many years later, she still clearly remembered that June:
The door opened, and summer fell from the sky.
*The title is taken from Hermann Hesse's Klingsor's Last Summer:
“A summer that fell from the sky like a gift.”
Theme: Love life
Author, you just write, I can't see it, I feel like there are ants crawling on me
I have a great love brain, but I feel so happy to be chosen by someone so firmly (meaning for an insecure person like me)
Teacher, I like the sour and sweet things you wrote [Spread Flowers][Spread Flowers]
Not bad, I feel like I haven't seen such smooth and calm writing in a long time.
Hahahahahahaha This plot reminds me of a story about a bunch of young lovers who broke up and ended up meeting in the same mental hospital.
Very well written! I cried so much after reading several chapters that I felt tortured and wanted to read them.
Mother Lin is doing well, so touched [bursts into tears]
It turns out there is still meat to eat, which is good 😳
I can't figure it out. Is there any chance to see the original 78 photos?
