Full-Dive + Food + Online Game
A feel-good, leveling-up full-dive game story. Starting from the beginning, a couple plays the game together, fights monsters, levels up, clears dungeons, defeats bosses, and becomes the top players on the server. Along the way, they enjoy delicious food, cook meals, encounter all kinds of surprises, and trigger hidden quests.
At first, the uke isn't ranked first, while the seme is. Later, the uke takes first place and the seme becomes second.
There's no need to debate whether the uke or seme is stronger, because they're both powerful and never fight each other. You can't tell who's stronger or weaker, and even if they did fight, it would be a draw.
In terms of understanding the game, the uke is stronger. He's a walking game encyclopedia.
A gentle chef NPC innkeeper by day and mysterious top player by night, the uke x the server's number-one player, aloof to everyone else but a culinary master in front of the innkeeper
Shen Xueji / Xueji / Junzi Xueji x Yun Ye / Buye Hou
One wields a fan and the other a sword. Both deal damage.
1.
You really shouldn't stay up all night playing games.
That was the lesson Shen Xueji learned after dying from playing games all night at barely over twenty.
But when he opened his eyes, he realized he seemed to have transmigrated?
"Ding-dong! Congratulations, player [Junzi Xueji], on entering the game Drunken Jianghu! Your identity has been bound to Xueji, the NPC innkeeper of Qingfeng Tavern!"
"Beep! Assigning a quest to the player now."
"Make a grilled fish and sell it. Reward: one rare piece of equipment."
Shen Xueji rubbed his eyes in disbelief, looking at the dusty tables and chairs and the lifeless tavern, recalling the voice that had just sounded in his head.
Junzi Xueji, Drunken Jianghu, Qingfeng Tavern...
Wasn't this the game he'd been playing before he died?
Why had he stopped playing the game and become a chef instead?!
2.
Not long after the game's public beta began, players in Drunken Jianghu were all struggling with the difficult beginner-village boss, the Blackwater Bull Demon.
"Why is this beginner monster so hard?"
"How can we be stuck in the beginner village?"
As they complained in dismay and were about to give up, a graceful young man in white suddenly landed before them. His folding fan flowed like water in his hand, and in just a few swift moves, he slew the Blackwater Bull Demon.
He turned and smiled at the battered group. "No need to thank me."
Then he left as casually as he had arrived, leaving the onlookers stunned and admiring.
Player A: "Junzi Xueji... Who's that? The name sounds kind of familiar."
Player B: "Junzi Xueji?! He's that mysterious expert player who showed up recently! You don't know? He's already made it into the top ten on the rankings!"
Player C: "What Xueji? Do you mean Xueji, the innkeeper at Qingfeng Tavern? Ah, I really want to eat the mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, and fish-fragrant shredded pork made by Shopkeeper Xue! The food is delicious and boosts your stats, and Shopkeeper Xue is handsome too. It's just that Qingfeng Tavern only opens during the day, so you can't have dinner there..."
Junzi Xueji heard every word behind him and smiled mysteriously.
Oh, he'd almost forgotten to mention who he'd been before he died.
A launch-day player in Drunken Jianghu, the number-one player on the server, the number-one Xianyu, number one in server-wide PVP, number one in server-wide PVE, the only player on the entire server with a 100% collection rate, the pinnacle of Drunken Jianghu players, a top player known to everyone who played the game...
Junzi Xueji.
3.
Shen Xueji probably never expected that playing a game would turn him into a chef.
Spicy, fragrant boiled fish, sweet-and-sour pork tenderloin, soft and sweet pumpkin cakes...
They were enough to make every player eat lunch at Qingfeng Tavern.
"Ding-dong! Today's quest, [Sell 100 servings of Kung Pao Chicken], is complete. The reward has been sent to the player's inventory. Please collect it!"
Shen Xueji saw off his last customer and closed the tavern doors, then prepared to change into his Junzi Xueji outfit and go complete quests.
By day, his identity was the NPC Xueji. At night, he was the mysterious expert player Junzi Xueji.
Now it was time to play the game.
Just then, someone knocked at the door of Qingfeng Tavern, at a most inconvenient time.
When he opened the door, he found a swordsman holding a sword.
Buye Hou.
Shen Xueji looked over the assassin before him.
The man came to eat at Qingfeng Tavern during the day, and Shen Xueji had run into him a few times at night, too.
He was quite skilled and currently held the number-one spot in the rankings.
The swordsman smiled at him but said nothing.
As he did with every player, Shen Xueji delivered his classic line: "Sorry, the tavern is closed. Please come back tomorrow, honored guest."
The swordsman shook his head. "No, I'm not here to eat. I came to see you about something, Shopkeeper Xue."
Shen Xueji froze. "What is it?"
"The first Jianghu boss in the game is about to spawn tonight. Shopkeeper Xue, would you be interested in teaming up with me to take it down?"
He gave him a meaningful smile.
"Or should I call you... Junzi Xueji?"
