The main story is complete. Bonus chapters are updating!
Cheng Ye took in a scruffy little stray dog.
At first, the dog was traumatized and afraid of people. He wouldn't let anyone treat his wounds or eat the food they gave him.
Once he realized he was being spoiled, he became completely unmanageable.
Cheng Ye called his friend to complain, his grin practically reaching his ears. "The dog uses my foot as a pillow when he eats, and he has to stick close to me every day. Why is he so clingy?"
His friend didn't believe him. "No way."
Cheng Ye picked up the dog, who was sprawled on a cushion watching TV, put him on his lap, and sent his friend a picture. "Proof."
A follow-up report from the hospital said Cheng Ye had been diagnosed with skin hunger.
Cheng Ye sneered.
"Quacks! I just have a bit of a temper, and you call it skin hunger?"
Until the dog got used to clinging to him, started acting independent, and kept running outside.
Furious, Cheng Ye dragged the dog back home, found the test report, and shoved it in front of him. "See? I'm seriously sick. You can't just leave me alone."
The dog tilted his head, his shiny black eyes fixed on him.
He didn't understand.

Li Xiang escaped from the dog traffickers who had kidnapped him, fell off a cliff and lost his memory, reverted to his original form, and wandered to Cheng Ye's home.
A kind human took him in, and once his wounds healed, he reverted to his original form.
But Cheng Ye was always away from home, sometimes even staying at the office to work overtime.
Li Xiang missed him, but knew how important money was to humans.
So he called in a favor and found one of his dog-person friends, who washed dishes at a restaurant. He wanted to get a job there through his friend and help Cheng Ye shoulder the burden.
But on the very day he was supposed to start, Cheng Ye hauled him back home.
Cheng Ye pulled out that familiar medical report and glared at him awkwardly. "Didn't I tell you I was seriously ill? Why won't you listen and stop running off?"
Li Xiang stared at him blankly, still not understanding.
Blushing, Cheng Ye explained to the little stray dog, "It means you have to stay by my side. You're not allowed to go anywhere."
Li Xiang raised his hand. "Will that make you better?"
Cheng Ye nodded bashfully.
Li Xiang happily hugged him. "I get it now."
