I Will Kiss You Tonight

An alcoholic father, a biased mother, an overbearing younger brother, and a chaotic home: that was everything Song Qingmai had before he turned twenty-three.

Though he had been obedient and well-behaved since childhood, he ended up being the one his family drove away. To force him to marry, his parents threatened to cut ties with him.

Song Qingmai had had enough. He had thought about giving in countless times, but he couldn't fall in love.

Because he had late-stage cancer.

The doctor said he could live another five years if he continued treatment, or at most two years without it.

Song Qingmai didn't want to spend what little time he had left in a cold hospital bed, so he quit his job, hid away in a rented room by himself, and waited quietly for death.

In this utterly cold world, he had no hope for the life he had pieced together for himself.

Even falling in love seemed like an extravagant luxury. He had always believed that no one could truly love him...

Until that winter...

At last, unable to withstand his parents' pressure, he set out for home to meet a potential match. On the way, he met Su Licheng, who carried him through the freezing snow, gently calling him Mai Mai...
