Grandpa's Love Story

If there were two fish in the land of the dead, I would send them with a message. I wonder who has shared your joys and sorrows over the years, and who has been by your side. I toss and turn from midnight on, unable to bear hearing the Xiang strings played again. I await the day we become kindred souls in another life. Yet I fear we are both fated to die young, and will meet again only beneath the waning moon, amid scattered winds. My tears run dry, and the paper ashes rise.
