Dong Jue and Yi You come from similar families and have been childhood friends, but they can't stand each other. They only speak when they have no choice, and even then they just crack jokes and trade insults.

Back in school, Yi You pursued the campus heartthrob, while Dong Jue was constantly surrounded by girlfriends (or so it seemed). They couldn't stand each other in private, but to everyone else they looked like old friends.

They thought they'd remain friends in name only, with their business interests linked in the future. But as soon as they graduated from university, their families began pressuring them to marry.

"You've known each other since you were children, and your parents are friends. Getting married would benefit both families."

"Get married while you're young, before anything unexpected happens."

"..." Yi You said, "Then, how about we just get married?"

So, to deal with their families' pressure, the two got their marriage licenses at the tender age of twenty-two and stepped straight into love's grave. They agreed on three rules, including not interfering in each other's lives.

But on their very first day as newlyweds, they crossed the line. Their bodies got there first, and after that, there was no stopping them.

Whenever Dong Jue saw Yi You, it was like spring had arrived. He couldn't hold himself back, while Yi You made a half-hearted attempt to refuse before giving in.

One was willing, the other was eager.

Two years passed, and their relationship somehow became harmonious. They stopped following their three rules, but neither of them ever broke through the thin barrier between them and love.

Until a secret about Dong Jue's company was exposed, and Yi You was hospitalized after a car accident.

A week later, when she woke up, everything had gone back to square one. Yi You's memories had returned to five years earlier, and Dong Jue had vanished from her life entirely.

Five years later,

On a rainy day, after a blind date, Yi You ran into Dong Jue buying discounted clothes hangers.

Yi You: "Haven't seen you in years. Things have gotten so rough that you can't afford to get married? Marriage is that expensive? So..."

"I can't get married." Dong Jue clutched his sleeve tightly. "Because I still haven't divorced Ms. Yi."

Yi You: "?"

Ms. Yi?

Meng Ge had a friend who had been closer to her than anyone since childhood: her Cherry. She told Cherry all her worries, keeping nothing secret.

After starting university, she fell for someone for the first time. As usual, she snuggled softly into Cherry's arms and asked what to do. "Cherry, I think I like him. What should I do?"

"Lu Yu?"

Meng Ge blushed and quickly leaped into Cherry's arms. "Cherry, you're so clever. How did you know his name? So, what should I do?"

Cherry turned and wrapped an arm around her waist, leaning close to look into her eyes. A faint smile curled their lips. "I know. Leave it to me."

Meng Ge squealed and hugged Cherry back in delight. "Thank you, Cherry. I love you so much."

"Mm. Love... me."
