Short story, completed
In her sophomore year, Su Mian went to the Qin family for the first time to meet her fiance, Qin Haosheng. Instead, she fell in love at first sight with his uncle, Qin Mu, a powerful man of influence.
He leaned against the window covered in green vines, exhaling smoke. His sexy black shirt was unbuttoned halfway down to his collarbones. His gaze was fixed on the distant, mist-shrouded Jinshan Mountain. He seemed both abstinent and broken.
Later, when Qin Haosheng's kept mistress was discovered, Su Mian seized the chance to break off the engagement. She called Qin Mu for the first time and asked him to stand up for her.
For the next few years, she stayed by his side. She wanted to be his lover, but he always treated her like a child.
One day, she finally got him drunk and slipped him an aphrodisiac. His shirt was disheveled, and he slumped against the headboard, but even as desire consumed him, he refused to touch her. Su Mian cried and patted his face. "Fine. The game's over. I'll let you go."
Soon, she went abroad, traveling everywhere, becoming a blogger and making films. Her career took off. When she returned to China, she was invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony at Qin Corporation. When she saw Qin Mu come over, she merely nodded and smiled. "Hello, Mr. Qin."
His gaze was dark. He watched her for a long time without saying a word.
