That Was Close: I Almost Got Back Together With My Ex, an Alpha (Double Alphas)

The planet's barrier was breached, and General Yan Xi was dispatched by the Marshal to fight on the border. When he saw the familiar yet strange face of the enemy's commander, Yan Xi was utterly astonished.

After the war ended, Yan Xi returned triumphantly to the main city, and the captured enemy commander, Shi Ruochen, was locked in prison.

Former lovers meeting again, their eyes ablaze with resentment.

Yan Xi dragged his injured body to the prison to taunt him. Before he could speak, Shi Ruochen looked at him coldly. "Who are you?"

Yan Xi gave Shi Ruochen a derisive snort, deeply displeased by his words.

"The person you'll never beat. The defeated loser."

Shi Ruochen merely glanced at him. The next moment, the chains fell from his body, and his white python spirit form wrapped around Yan Xi and pulled him into Shi Ruochen's arms.

Shi Ruochen pressed a hand against Yan Xi's gland and scraped it with his canine teeth. "I can smell something familiar."

Seven years ago, Shi Ruochen and Yan Xi had a passionate, earth-shaking romance. Their relationship as two alphas was frowned upon, but Shi Ruochen still devoted himself to making it work.

After graduation, however, Yan Xi suddenly disappeared, deactivating his phone number and all his social media accounts.

Seven years later, Shi Ruochen inherited his father's position and became Marshal of Dagger Sheath Bay Star.

The great battle to attack Emerald Planet was about to begin. Shi Ruochen clicked on the profile of the planet's key figures, and when he saw the name beside the rank of general, he slowly clenched his fist.
