My Imperial Uncle, Why Are You Trembling?

Song Yuanqing transmigrated into a book. To stay alive, he had no choice but to disguise himself as a woman and enter the palace as a consort in place of his twin sister.

The new emperor, Qin Yu, was the son of a mad consort whom Empress Zhang had dragged out of the Cold Palace. A master strategist, Qin Yu was ruthless and merciless. In the end, he launched a palace coup and seized power.

At the time, Qin Yu had little influence and was bullied at every turn. Song Yuanqing gave him food, warmth, and respect, all in the hope of securing himself another way out.

Late one night, Qin Yu pressed a blade to Song Yuanqing's throat. "What are you after?"

Song Yuanqing was stunned. The moment the blade cut his skin, he shouted, "I love you. I fell in love with you at first sight, and I can't help myself. Even if I die at your hands, I won't regret it."

After that night, Qin Yu's gaze grew hotter and more brazen with every passing day.

Every night, he would sneak into Song Yuanqing's bedchamber, hold his slender body, and kiss his hair.

His hand slid lower, and his lips brushed Song Yuanqing's ear. "I want you..."

Song Yuanqing pinned his hand down and, his face red, said, "Do you want our child to be bullied and abused just like we were?"

Qin Yu's gaze turned sinister. "I will build a peaceful and prosperous age for you and our child."

Soon, Qin Yu launched a palace coup, destroyed the Zhang family, and seized power, but lost the person he loved most in the world.

Song Yuanqing set a fire and faked his death to escape. He never knew that Qin Yu had charged into the flames without hesitation and carried out a charred corpse.

Qin Yu made the charred corpse his empress and kissed its rotting, blackened skull night after night. He prayed to every god and Buddha in the heavens, wanting nothing more than to see his beloved once again.

After learning that his beloved had an identical twin brother, and that twins were said to share a telepathic bond, he...

Song Yuanqing knelt on the ground, trembling. Three years after escaping, he had been forced to enter the palace once again.

Qin Yu was now even more cold-blooded, his icy gaze brimming with bloodthirsty madness.

Qin Yu fixed his eyes on Song Yuanqing and descended from the dragon throne one step at a time. "My imperial uncle, what are you afraid of?"

Song Yuanqing gritted his teeth. "I'm not afraid!"

Qin Yu reached out and lifted Song Yuanqing's chin. "Uncle, are you sure you're a man?"

"Of course," Song Yuanqing said gruffly.

"Then I'll make sure!"

Song Yuanqing: "..."
