Lorin is carefree and happy when he discovers that the neighbors have adopted an adorable little yellow dog.
The little yellow dog can not only talk, but also pull a handkerchief out of its big ears to wipe its paws!
Together, they climb a little hill and crawl through a tree hollow, arriving in a wondrous magical realm.
This is a world of monsters, where magicians and monsters live in harmony, helping one another.
Children learn how to use magic and get along with little monsters.
To help Crow, the scarecrow in the fields, "find his heart," Lorin begins an adventurous quest in the magical realm. Along the way, he makes lots of monster friends, and they overcome one challenge after another together.
Every monster in the realm has its own wondrous magic.
Orbs of light shine like the sun. Stone beasts have shells harder than rock. Starfire lizards breathe fire and blink their starry eyes. Three-eyed, three-tailed Moon-Swallowing Wolves soar through the clouds...
A mysterious giant monster lurks in the darkness of the Border Forest, and the monster's house is stacked with goods belonging to Boss Huang.
In the Everlasting Day Sea, a young merfolk boy summons rain and a rainbow of seven colors, while a giant azure whale rides the wind and smashes through the "sky."
The fiery tails of fire foxes never go out in the lava of the Boundless Fire Valley, and the wings of the flying monster clans stir up winds that never cease.
Even in the harsh environment of the Thunderclap Golden Ridge, gold-eating monsters stubbornly survive.
Human magicians living in the prosperous Earth City are busy all day long...
Lorin thinks he has escaped the Border Forest, but the magical realm seems far more vast than he imagined.
And though it appears cut off from the outside world, it is closely connected to his own.
As Lorin travels alongside monsters, the great secret hidden behind the realm's peaceful facade is gradually revealed, and its mysterious past slowly becomes clear...
This will be an adventurous journey about courage, wisdom, friendship, unity, and growing up!
