How to Raise a Silly Little Ghost?

As a newly dead ghost, Shen Yan decides to scare people so he can get something to eat.

But he's too cute to bring himself to do it, and he's afraid that someone full of yang energy might beat him up. So after much searching, he picks a meal ticket who looks like he could keep him fed without being too easily frightened.

Shen Yan racks his brains to learn how to scare people.

On the first day, he excitedly sprawls across his meal ticket's balcony, cosplaying as a sunny-day doll.

Then he gets ignored...

He tries again, pulling off an extremely difficult, gravity-defying move and crawling eerily in front of his meal ticket.

His meal ticket only twitches the corner of his mouth.

But Shen Yan thinks he's making progress.

So one night, Shen Yan makes himself look hideous, grabs a borrowed skull prop, and confidently goes to see the meal ticket he has his eye on.

This time, the meal ticket is stunned.

Just as Shen Yan thinks he's succeeded and is about to celebrate, his meal ticket calmly takes the skull and gives Shen Yan's head a rub. Then he says with utterly unconvincing seriousness, "Wow, how scary!"

Shen Yan: ...

Why isn't this guy afraid of ghosts?!

A silly little ghost who hasn't even learned how to hunt has moved into Xing He's home.

When he can't find anything to eat and goes hungry, he follows Xing He around, acting all pitiful and clingy.

He's so miserable, like a puppy that's fallen into the water.

Xing He feels sorry for him and decides to take the little ghost in.

But when Xing He cheerfully greets the silly little ghost, the ghost is so frightened he vanishes without a trace.

Xing He: ...

Am I really that scary?
