If Fang Yao had to describe her summer in one word, it would be chaos.
Her grandmother died. She rushed to Metropolis, inherited a large fortune, and met the Kent family. Through a strange twist of fate, she ended up going to school in Metropolis. Then she unexpectedly discovered that Uncle Clark was actually... Superman?!
And there were those bizarre dreams, those hallucinations that science couldn't explain... Ghosts really did exist! But compared to ghosts, there was one person Fang Yao really didn't want to see...
Her former classmate, the famous school bully, Super-Man.
...So why on earth was Kong Kenan here too?!
Now Fang Yao was sure: this summer wasn't chaotic. It was super-terrible!
Kong Kenan dropped out of high school. It sounds embarrassing, but... Compared with saving the world, who cares about studying? He's Superman!
His current life goals: 1. Be Superman full-time. 2. Learn from Superman how to be a good Superman.
A whole heap of side quests: learn English, rescue cats, hang out with his Young Justice friends and take care of trouble along the way, and show Clark's niece around Metropolis.
...Wait! Why did no one tell him Clark's niece was Fang Yao?! His former classmate, the rich girl who pointed at him and scolded him in front of everyone for bullying people, the Fang Yao that anyone with eyes could tell he liked!
He had no idea whether ending up with this opportunity was a good thing. He knew Fang Yao hated him, so going after her would probably just annoy her. But it was her first time in Metropolis, and she didn't know her way around. Someone had to keep an eye on her! She was a young woman out on her own. Of course he should help her, right? Besides, looking after Fang Yao was a mission Clark had assigned him, and... and...
...Well, he just really liked her.
So what could two former classmates do together besides bicker and fight? Attend language school together, experience high school life in Metropolis, get haunted by strange ghosts called A, B, C, and D, and be forced to help the spirits who refuse to move on fulfill their last wishes. But first, let's learn some English!
After-school activities include building a secret base, eating free fried spring rolls, and solving mysteries. One of their members is even a computer whiz... Who are you calling a knockoff Adventure Boys?! And we're not the Ghostbusters either, so listen up: we're Young Justice League!

Youth / school romance / a little supernatural
Kong falls in love at first sight + one-sided pining at the beginning. Never mind, he's head over heels.

[Kong and Fang / Kontim / 98yj]
Before You Read:
The timeline is a complete mess! I'm picking and choosing the periods I like. There may be details that differ from or are omitted in the comics. I'll add explanations in the author's notes.
The side couple is KonTim, yes, 90s Kon-El x Tim Drake. How did you know we're also the world's best partners? lol
There's a little crossover with another work in the same series, I'm Not a Farmer, I'm Gotham's Chef.
You'll find: Noisy teenagers / lots of ghosts / occasional family-of-origin problems / American-style Chinese food
You won't find: Anything relating to or alluding to real life, arguments about whether JLC is reasonable, differences in national circumstances, comparisons, real-world speculation, and so on... Comics are just comics, nothing more...
The characterization is entirely based on my personal preferences. You don't need to read the comics to enjoy this. (But I still recommend that everyone read 98yj.)
I just want to write a lighthearted chick flick. I'm writing about such obscure characters purely because I like Kong, but I know it won't get much attention, so if you're interested, please bookmark it...
