My Stepmother Has Arrived

Lin Ran transmigrates, and from the start, she finds herself marrying a memorial tablet.

A general husband who died for his country? Perfect! Who could turn down being a wealthy widow?

Unfortunately, her dream of living as a rich widow shatters the very next day.

Her insincere mother-in-law has her hands firmly around the compensation money.

Her vicious sister-in-law has long since taken control of the household.

All that remains for Lin Ran is a young stepson whose mother is a mystery. He bites everyone he meets and is a little lunatic through and through.

Lin Ran gets it: she is just a scapegoat for her wicked mother-in-law and the second branch of the family to bleed the household dry.

Now she has only two choices: take the blame and die, or drag a few others down with her before she goes.

And so, the new widow in the General's household goes mad, too.

But then her supposedly "dead and cold" husband comes back.

Zhou Nanxun returns home gravely wounded and hears that he has acquired a vicious widow who not only squandered his compensation and property, but also abused his only son.

But when he finds her in the back courtyard, the young woman is beneath an apricot tree, picking fruit with a little boy in her arms.

She raises an eyebrow and smiles when she sees him:

"Well, look who's come back from the dead."

"One silver tael per apricot, General. How many would you like?"
