Lu Meng lay asleep until she heard the door open.

The man's coat carried a distinct smell of blood.

As he approached, the air seemed to turn gloomy and damp.

He silently sat at the foot of the bed and gently took her foot in his hand,

as if she were the lamb he cherished most.

The godfather once told Lu Qian, "When love goes too far, it turns into madness."

At the time, Lu Qian was calmly cutting the meat on his plate. To him, all living things in this world were much the same, whether loved or butchered.

That's how love should be.

So said Lu Qian.

Alpha × Beta

A practice run at plot and writing + writing to satisfy my own tastes + letting the prose run wild. Don't get your hopes up.

1. The story takes place in a fictional Europe inspired by Italy. There are lots of made-up details, so don't overanalyze them.

2. The relationship between the leads is rather obsessive and dark, with graphic violence. Consider yourself warned.

3. Neither lead is a virgin. Please don't read too much into it. Neither protagonist is normal.

* The leads aren't related by blood, and they aren't even on the same household registration. The truth will come out later.
