On the verge of being scrapped, the android Ilaire strikes a deal with a god from a neighboring world. The god saves her from certain death, and in return, she becomes the mascot of the god's church.
But being a mascot isn't always easy. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the church, such as agreeing to a marriage alliance that would unite the church's power with secular forces. After asking Ilaire for her consent, the Mechanical God tearfully sends Their precious girl off to live with some foolish humans.
Foolish humans, or rather, Ilaire's new husband, has a very complicated family:
The husband himself is the leading figure among the new nobility and the most powerful duke in the empire. He's capricious, hypocritical, and cunning, and he's at odds with every church to varying degrees. No one knows the real reason he agreed to this marriage alliance.
Then there are the two children he adopted for various reasons: a gloomy, withdrawn stepson, and a sunny, cheerful stepdaughter who seems to be the only normal member of the family... except for her fluffy tail.
Now there's an android wife in the mix, too, and the whole family is starting to show a vigorous, promising vitality.
On Ilaire's first day there, her husband-to-be, whom she hasn't officially married yet, plans to sit down with her and explain the rules for surviving in this super-assembled family.
Halfway through his speech, Ilaire interrupts him. "Please wait."
The man raises an eyebrow slightly. Though impatient inside, he keeps up a gentle, charming front. "Is there something you didn't understand? Would you like me to explain it in more detail? Or would you like some water and a rest?"
"Husband... is that what I should call you?"
Ilaire speaks politely in a flat tone. "Husband, you're going around in circles. My processing load is too high. I need to recharge."
The man: "..."
Wait, there's no problem with that. But at this point, a native of a steam-powered fantasy world can't help but ask:
What is recharging?

"My wife is like a swan. On the outside, she's beautiful, elegant, capable, noble, and graceful, like any proper lady. But only after getting to know her do you realize what a blunt and stubborn violent criminal this woman is."
As the great Duke Adonis of the Empire wrote in his diary
"But I have to admit, the swan is my favorite animal."
As the Duke Adonis also wrote in his diary
A few things to know before reading:
1. The couple is a robot-like heroine and a melodramatic, sickly hero. It's a male-female romance. Both have major flaws, but the hero is pure in both body and heart.
2. The setting is a fantasy world with a moderate mishmash of magic and martial arts. It's most likely a family comedy. The worldbuilding is entirely made up, and the author is an illiterate who loves making references. The title and blurb were written with a paw, so please don't take them too seriously~
3. Eloping has its risks. Choose your partner carefully.
4. Archived on 24.11.22. Please protect your reputation.
5. I'll add more if I think of anything.
Theme: Sincerity is the foundation of communication.
Dear author, don't be afraid. I am also a fresh graduate. I have been working around for a few months and now I have a main job. I also have to hold two jobs.
I asked why I haven't received the update yet. Maybe I'm going to stop updating it?
Happy New Year! Everything immediately
