You Can't Touch the Little Grass Anymore

A socially anxious little plant X a meddlesome administrator

Yuan Xiuxiu is a sensitive plant. He's shy and timid, keeps to himself, and loves nothing more than finding a quiet spot to bask in the sun.

But on his eighteenth birthday, with two leaves sprouting from his head, he entered a full-dive pod in the Tree of Life.

On the third day of hiding in a corner, an administrator found him.

The administrator poked his leaves.

"Hey, everyone has to take part in the game. You can't slack off here."

The one who found him was Administrator Number Thirteen.

But that single poke made Yuan Xiuxiu withdraw into himself.

The administrator had never encountered such an interesting little thing.

And so he found a way to pass the time in the Tree of Life.

Poke. Yuan Xiuxiu withdraws.

Yuan Xiuxiu opens up.

Poke. Yuan Xiuxiu withdraws.

Yuan Xiuxiu opens up.

"Could you please stop touching Xiuxiu?"

The socially anxious little plant felt aggrieved. This person was kind of annoying.

Administrator Number Thirteen poked him even more often.

He gets shy and he gets upset. That just makes me want to tease him more!

In Laishan City, every adult, no matter their species, must enter a full-dive pod in the Tree of Life on the seventh day of their birthday month. This has been a tradition in Laishan City for nearly a century.

Laishan City is surrounded by water and resembles an island. At its very center stands a towering tree, the Tree of Life.

The Tree of Life continually supplies nourishment to the entire city, and tens of thousands of full-dive pods are connected beneath it.

No one knows what happens inside the pods.

The ever-present administrators, the death games on every level, and the fact that the Tree of Life's nourishment is an endless stream of blood.

Who will make it to the top of the Tree of Life and become its next heir...?
