Love Letters in Bone

Lin Ming, captain of the Criminal Investigation Division at the Beijiang Public Security Bureau, finds a parcel on his desk when he arrives at work. Before he can open it, he gets called out to a crime scene. When he arrives, he discovers that the person involved in the case is his high school classmate, Shi Nuan.

Shi Nuan is a partner at Beijiang Dongnuan Law Firm, and she is also involved in this case.

During a conversation with Shi Nuan, one of her clients suddenly loses control and grabs a knife, trying to kill her. While dodging the attack, he slips and dies by accident. There is surveillance footage and an audio recording, and the facts are clear.

Back at the bureau, Lin Ming opens the parcel and finds human bones inside. Carved into one of the bones is an English word: starting.
