(All-female cast, supernatural ghosts, love and hate, intense emotions, a collection of short stories)
A soul is the heart of someone who cannot accept their death.
Weaving souls means piecing broken hearts back together.
Yi Heng was born with a blank square seal in her hand. It was pure white and flawless, so she was named Su Po.
A Daoist told her the seal could command ten thousand ghosts and guide ten thousand souls onward.
All living beings in the world, and all the gods and Buddhas, must eventually travel the road to the Yellow Springs.
The cycle of life and death gives all things a chance to begin again.
To guide souls onward is to guide all living beings.
And so Yi Heng began walking between the realms of the living and the dead, exorcising ghosts, guiding souls, and helping people.
She did so for seven hundred years.
Others used talismans and magical artifacts to exorcise ghosts. Yi Heng used ghosts to subdue ghosts.
All she had to do was hold the seal and command them, and every ghost within a hundred li would obey her.
Until she met a spirit she couldn't control...
This little spirit had no discernible origin, and her destination couldn't be foretold. Yet no matter how hard Yi Heng tried, she couldn't shake her off.
The spirit blinked her teary eyes and became Yi Heng's little shadow;
Then she huddled beside her, sniffling that she was afraid of ghosts and the dark;
There was nothing for it. Yi Heng treated her like a little doll she had to bring along,
comforting her by day and holding her at night, afraid the wind would scatter her or the rain would ruin her...
Until they reached the largest ghost city in the Underworld. Ten thousand ghosts bowed in reverence.
The little spirit transformed into A Xiu, the most mysterious and fearsome Ghost King in the Underworld.
Everything changed...
The one thing that didn't change was that she still insisted on sleeping in Yi Heng's arms, with the same excuse: she was afraid of ghosts...
