I Raised the Ruthless Dao Venerable Wrong

Jiang Xingmiao transmigrates into the world as the emotionless Heavenly Dao, in charge of a group of young disciples who cultivate the Emotionless Dao.

As the disciples improve their cultivation, she earns points, and once she has enough, she can go home.

According to the System panel, a female cultivator named Yan Hegui is aloof and has exceptional potential. She is Jiang Xingmiao's best hope of getting home.

Yan Hegui cannot hear her, but wakes as Jiang Xingmiao leaves. Her battered hand touches the lingering warmth on her head.

Under the Heavenly Dao's protection, Yan Hegui gradually grows up, living up to everyone's hopes and standing tall as a bamboo stalk.

But wicked cultivators set their sights on her, too. At best, they might shatter her Emotionless Dao; at worst, they could destroy her cultivation and bring about her demise.

When a wicked cultivator lays an unsolvable love curse on Yan Hegui, Jiang Xingmiao is frantic. Just as it seems all her efforts will be for nothing

Yan Hegui expressionlessly cuts out half her own heart. Blood spreads across her pale clothes.

At least Yan Hegui doesn't know that Jiang Xingmiao has already earned enough points to go home. On the day Yan Hegui reaches the Mahayana realm, Jiang Xingmiao hesitates for a long time, then leaves her a letter, hoping she will ascend to immortality and enjoy a bright future.

But going home is a lie.

In the chaos, her consciousness is shattered and reassembled, and she falls into the body of an ordinary demon cultivator with a mixed bag of spiritual roots.

They say that the Emotionless Dao Sword Venerable, Yan Hegui, successfully ascended, only to tear open the boundary between the mortal and celestial realms and search everywhere, from the highest heavens to the deepest underworld, for the Great Dao she had yearned for all her life.

They say that Yan Hegui's quest was futile. Unable to find the Dao she sought, she drove her sword through the heavens and tore the very concept of the Dao to pieces, bringing calamity upon the world.

Yan Hegui then fell into the demon realm and became a fearsome demon lord, turning the leaderless cultivation world into a living hell and leaving the land strewn with corpses.

Later still, they say that the Demon Lord demanded a petite demon cultivator from a small sect in the cultivation world.

Red candles and draped curtains filled the Demon Lord's hall. The black-clad Demon Lord leaned over her, reverently clasped the woman's slender wrist, then fastened a heavy shackle around it, leaving her no chance to escape.

Silver chains chimed. Warm lips tasted of rust. Jiang Xingmiao instinctively pushed her away, her palm pressed against an ordinary letter hidden over the woman's heart.
