Zephyr Hayes, codename Black Kite.
At five years old, he already dares to roam Gotham at night in a cape, earning a fearsome reputation as a little freak. (Zephyr: I'm a black kite!)
He scares Catwoman's cats and plucks Poison Ivy's flowers.
He provokes Black Mask and taunts the Mad Hatter.
He withstands Scarecrow's fear toxin and once outsmarted the Joker.
He studies Bane's venom and once raised a Killer Croc.
He punches his way through Arkham and kicks his way into Blackgate Prison. His record is there for all to see.
What Zephyr is proudest of is spying on Batman and playing hide-and-seek with him for a whole year without getting caught.
A whole year!
Zephyr proudly plants his hands on his hips: I'm so freaking awesome.jpg
(Dick: Isn't it because Batman went easy on you?)
Sure, his hideout got wrecked, his home got robbed, and his little buddies betrayed him... *sniffle* (Zephyr: holding back the tears)
But congratulations to Black Kite for joining the Batfamily!
Ninety-nine pounds of rebelliousness in a hundred-pound body. That's the Batfamily's kids for you.
First Dick runs off to Bludhaven, then Jason charges into Ethiopia.
Compared to that, Zephyr just went undercover in the League of Assassins and stole a little Lazarus Water. That's no big deal, right?
Zephyr says the trip to the Middle East was worth it. He rescued Jason, got Lazarus Water to study, and met a cute little assassin.
He still thinks so even when the Joker gets him. His only regret is not going back to Gotham sooner.
As luck would have it, Zephyr learns magic.
His senses grow sharper, and he learns healing magic too. He can fight and heal, studying both magic and combat.
He adds emoticons that change with his mood to his full-face mask, making it twice as cool.
He gets stronger every day. Criminals, tremble! Black Kite is back!
Wait, did he forget something?
Seeing the little assassin now beside Batman, Zephyr dodges his sudden attack and sheepishly twiddles his fingers.
Oh, right, he stood up the little assassin. Haha, don't hit me in the face!
I'm terrible at writing blurbs, so bear with me.
The character designs are mostly based on the 52 series, with a few from New 52.
Batman debuted in the 1980s in the animated series timeline.
OOC is inevitable. I'll do my best to stay true to the characters.
I'm easily upset, so I'll be writing this solo at first.
Writing for myself, so please don't bash it if it's not your thing.
Theme: I want to give everyone a happy ending
