The kind get bullied. Ye Teng was exactly that kindhearted pushover.
She studied hard, worked diligently, honored her parents, and treated others kindly. In return, her friends stabbed her in the back, her relatives bled her dry, and her boss treated her like dirt.
After receiving a cancer diagnosis, she walked out of the hospital and was stabbed several times by a middle-aged man. She died on the spot.
And so she realized: people shouldn't be too kind.
As she sank into a void, a mechanical voice inexplicably rang out. “Host's hatred for this world has been detected. The Redemption System is now bound to you. Please love this world, Host.”
When she opened her eyes again, Ye Teng found herself lying on the floor of a store, with an unfamiliar face beside her.
She stiffly got up and looked around in confusion. She thought this world had gone mad, so there was no need for her to act normal either.
The electronic voice sounded again. “Congratulations, Host. You have entered this novel. Please redeem the villainous female protagonist and make her fall in love with this world, so she can have a happy life. Upon successful redemption, your illness in the real world will be cured, and you will return from the dead.”
“Is there money?” Ye Teng asked, seeing that the world had frozen in place.
“No, there isn't. Redeeming someone is a very meaningful thing. I hope you'll do your best to live well and love the world too.”
Ye Teng sneered. Whatever. She'd just muddle through life in this world. It couldn't get any worse.
And so Ye Teng began her unhinged life. The whole cast were villains? Then she'd beat them all up. But then she discovered that the heroine she was supposed to redeem was even crazier than she was.
She was a total madwoman, and seemed to be hopelessly in love with Ye Teng.
She really had gone crazy, hadn't she?
