Content warning: A goofy story inspired by discussions with friends. There's not much of an outline, and the tone leans toward snark. Told entirely in first person. A short story with an original protagonist. The writing style is fairly unusual. This is only Part One.

[Why didn't the original title include "Part One"? I originally planned to finish the whole thing in one go, but then I found a huge plot hole between the beginning and the ending, so the later outline needed a major overhaul. After reworking it, I realized that continuing from Xiao Lan and Yu Shaohan's perspectives would make no sense. So I split it into two volumes. Part Two will be told from Deng Xiqi and Gu Yu's perspectives.]

My best friend and I got struck by lightning and sent to an unfamiliar world because of a Thunder-Gathering Talisman.

This world was full of monsters I'd never seen before. I drew my sword, my best friend raised a talisman, and together we skewered the monsters into a whole string of "candied hawthorns." Then we found ourselves staring at a strange man in a blindfold.

He babbled on and on, but sorry, neither of us understood a word. All we knew was that the desserts in his bag looked delicious.

Finally, the blindfolded man reached out his "claws" toward us. It looked like he wanted to take us away.

Me: "..."

Best friend: "..."

Me: "Can you understand what he's saying?"

Best friend: "No, but it looks like he wants us to go with him."

Me: "Then will you go with him?"

Best friend: "If you go, I'll go."

Me: "Then let's go. The desserts he's holding look delicious."

Toshiro Hitsugaya, captain of Squad Ten of the Gotei 13 in the Soul Society, discovers during a protection mission that the person who stole the King's Seal is his childhood friend. He decides to retrieve the seal on his own. On his way to the World of the Living, he accidentally gets caught in a space-time current and swept into a place called "Tokyo Jujutsu High."

Toshiro Hitsugaya: "...?"

New students Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri: "...?"

Where did this guy come from?

After recovering the King's Seal and returning to the Soul Society, Toshiro faces off against the captains and vice-captains of the Gotei 13 above Karakura Town, where the traitor Aizen has gathered the Arrancars. In the middle of nowhere, just as he releases his Bankai, Toshiro Hitsugaya falls right in front of Toji Fushiguro and Satoru Gojo.

Toshiro Hitsugaya, his hand trembling slightly as he holds his Zanpakuto: "...Where am I now?"

Satoru Gojo: "?"

Toji Fushiguro: "?"

During the Thousand-Year Blood War, the Soul Society is attacked by the Quincies. Toshiro Hitsugaya regains his Bankai, only to suddenly enter another dimension the next second and end up in Shibuya.

Toshiro Hitsugaya, looking especially world-weary: "I'm used to it."

Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Yuji Itadori are horrified: "Why is there a kid in the combat zone? Get over here!"

Behind them, Satoru Gojo braces a hand on Suguru Geto's shoulder, laughing so hard he can barely stand. "An elementary schooler... An elementary schooler who can freeze you into a popsicle."

Toshiro Hitsugaya: "..."

"Bankai, Daiguren Hyorinmaru!"
