A Kitten Popped Out of My Phone

[Naive, sincere, pretty catboy bottom x sharp-tongued but soft-hearted fatherly top]

A little cat demon raised by a player, and a stingy miser who spends a fortune on in-game purchases

Once upon a time, there was a little cat who had just gained sentience. He lived alone on a wild mountain, huffing and puffing as he practiced cultivation in a haphazard way.

At last, one day, the little cat demon's diligence caught the attention of an "immortal" in the heavens. The mysterious "immortal" brought him lots of food and toys, and wholeheartedly supported his cultivation.

The little cat demon thought he had met the best immortal ever!

But why was the immortal getting stranger and stranger, forbidding him from talking to so many people?

Xu Xingye's phone had an app downloaded onto it that couldn't be removed and would open automatically at set times. The screen always showed a little cat-eared bundle working hard at cultivation, even when he was a complete mess.

Xu Xingye couldn't bear to watch anymore, so he grudgingly spent one yuan. He never expected the little bundle to latch onto him. Every day, whenever he was forced to log in, he was greeted by a pair of sparkling eyes and an adorable welcome.

Xu Xingye: What a cunning capitalist.

System: The first top-up discount is a great deal~

Xu Xingye: I'll pay.

System: Today is Niannian's birthday. Niannian wants new clothes~

Xu Xingye: ...I'll pay.

System: Niannian is working so hard, but it's a shame he doesn't have a good cultivation manual to study.

Xu Xingye: I'll pay!

No matter how hard life gets, don't let the kid suffer!

And so the miser started spending money. But as he raised the little bundle, the child gradually grew into a young man. His striking looks attracted a crowd of eager suitors.

The hard-working father who'd raised him felt the sky come crashing down: "Kid, don't you dare talk to them! Aaaah!"

Reader's guide:

1. A lighthearted, sweet story without the traditional schemes of the cultivation world.

2. Raising the kid comes first. Romance starts after he's an adult. It's not an online romance, they'll meet in person, sob.

3. The two worlds run in parallel, and they eventually return to the modern world.
