The Stray Dog's Deaf Doll

*Rented-room romance, pseudo-incest

Mute construction worker gong x short-tempered academic beauty shou

Wen Dudu was a stray dog who had come out of an orphanage. After being adopted, he found his mute doll beside a trash can in a demolition zone.

The mute was dirty and stupid. He couldn't understand what Wen Dudu said. At his adoptive home, he lived cautiously, and could only stuff every good thing he found into Wen Dudu's hands, innocently promising:

I'll be your dad and mom, and stay with you forever. I'll give you a home.

A boy's heart, once stirred, stays stirred forever.

But how could this person say something like that, then personally push Dudu away?

Years later, in the early hours of New Year's Day, Wen Dudu hadn't gone home for the holiday because his experiment had reached a critical stage.

As he went downstairs to buy bread, he saw a shadow at the corner. He was about to call security when the figure hurriedly grabbed his hand and signed rapidly.

He said, I've earned money. I'm not a burden anymore.

Wen Dudu turned away, pretending not to see the wind- and sun-worn wounds on his body. He even closed his eyes so he wouldn't have to watch him sign.

“Ji Weian, so you've finally decided to show your face. You came to annoy me even on New Year's? Did I let you save face by pretending not to see you all this time?”

Ji Weian said, “I came to spend the New Year with my family.”

-What is home?

-Where you and I are.
