[Stern Maine Coon & pretty cat-loving wage slave]
Chen Mian has a compulsion to bring home stray cats. He's a cat person through and through.
He finds one at the school gate, another at his front door, one under a tree or in the grass, one beneath a car or on a rooftop, and even one online, through the cyber-web.
Over the years, dozens of cats have filled Chen Mian's small apartment: orange tabbies, tuxedo cats, calicos, American Shorthairs... Every night, they're piled on top of one another in a sprawling mass.
Chen Mian is buried beneath them, weighed down but happy.
He works himself to the bone to provide for his whole family of feline masters, but one day he wakes up to find the house empty.
Wait, where are my cats?!
And that's not all. Outside his apartment window, Chen Mian sees a spaceship, the kind he'd only ever seen in science fiction movies.
Chen Mian: ...Have I been working so hard I've lost my mind?
Suddenly, someone knocks at the door.
"Knock, knock, knock." The knocking is polite and refined.
He opens the door. A man in a formal suit stands there, his features sharp and stern.
Seeing a real person is a rare thing, so Chen Mian immediately asks, "Sir, have you seen my cats?"
The man doesn't so much as blink as he reaches behind himself and pulls out a tail.
Thick black fur, flecked with gray, is smooth and glossy. The tail is huge and fluffy, and sways on its own in his hand.
"?" Chen Mian is dumbfounded.
The man remains composed. "The cat you wanted."
"May I ask who you are?" Chen Mian's Adam's apple bobs.
"Your Big Kitty."
"..." Ah, my kitty wasn't quite that big.

It takes Chen Mian half a day to accept that all his cats have turned into people and that he's transmigrated to the interstellar age.
Life is life wherever you are. At least he's still got his cats.
But as more and more cats cling to him, Chen Mian realizes something isn't quite right.
The second cat, the calico, has become a famous interstellar superstar, with countless fans and supporters everywhere. Yet he chases Chen Mian around every few days, trying to drag him onto a national variety show. Is it... a dating show?
The third, the orange tabby, is astonishingly rich. Every penny that slips between his fingers is a fortune. He leaves his business behind to take Chen Mian to see starships one day and planets the next, even asking if Chen Mian wants one. He can buy them all.
The fourth, the tuxedo cat, is a renowned interstellar doctor whose consultation fees are outrageously high. He tosses Chen Mian a card with an imperious air and says to come to him whenever he's sick. Chen Mian glances at the words "Psychiatry Department" on the card, and his temple twitches...
There's something wrong with this bunch of cats!
And then there's the eldest, his Maine Coon.
With a fluffy tail wrapped around his waist, Chen Mian glances at the man's epaulets and can't help asking, "What do you do for a living now?" Is it an honest job?
The tail flicks, and one eyebrow lifts.
The chairman of the Alliance Military Command, a newly appointed general and recipient of a first-class medal, presses his lips together slightly and says, "I'm... a martial arts instructor."
"Mianmian, want to come over to my place after dinner?"
#That's pretty good. My cat can really do a backflip#
A short scene:
The orange tabby is overbearing, the British Shorthair is too dumb, the tuxedo cat is neurotic, and the American Shorthair is haughty.
At first, Chen Mian is sure that the first cat he picked up is the most considerate.
After all, his Maine Coon, Big Kitty, is gentle and well-behaved, never causing trouble. Even in this strange interstellar age, he makes Chen Mian feel right at home.
Until...
A strong black tail encircles his waist. The cat's body, larger than the others, presses right up against him. A barbed tongue licks him again and again, hard... His calves cramp as he tries to crawl away, but he's forced to stop each time.
Cat fur and human sweat mat together as Chen Mian pants and scolds him: He's taking back every compliment! Someone do something. This cat... this damn cat is way too huge!
Reader's guide: 1. One-on-one, both virgins, a devoted couple in love with each other.
2. The uke has lots of cats, and many of them are in love with him, but he only loves Big Kitty romantically.
