The Frail Human and His Masked Husband

In modern society, Li Er is an outcast: lame, gloomy, and pale, with a thin frame from years of malnutrition.

His hometown is in a poor state. Fleeing a terrifying debt collector, Li Er headed north to the nation's heart, a paradise for the rich. But he was still an ordinary person living in the slums.

Until one day, a new neighbor moved in. He was a masked man, and Li Er was a little afraid of him. The debt collector dressed the same way.

But when disaster struck and a thin mist filled the air, Li Er hid in a corner and survived by sheer luck, trembling all over. His silent neighbor's black pupils suddenly turned into golden slits.

He wasn't human.

Li Er thought he should pretend not to know and run away. But just then, his debt collector showed up at the door.

With malice, the collector said to Li Er's neighbor, "Don't you know? He can carry our children."

Li Er got husbands.

Later, his husbands asked him, "Why aren't you satisfied? Why did you abandon us?"

Captured and brought back, Li Er broke down sobbing. "You're not human. I don't want to have children. This isn't my home! I want to go home."

The masked men removed their masks. Writhing tentacles, spreading gray mist, and pitch-black compound eyes watched Li Er at every moment.

That's why they wore masks.
