An Ordinary Beta

Bian Yao was an average Beta. If there was one unusual thing about him, it was that his mother, a Beta, had gotten involved with an Alpha and given birth to him.

In the end, though, the person who stayed by his mother's side was a kind Beta. They were an ordinary Beta family, but they were happy enough.

Bian Yao's grades were good enough for him to attend university in the distant capital. As he was leaving, his mother looked at him and said, "I hope you'll have a happy life."

And so Bian Yao set in motion a plan he had already finalized as a teenager.

The people around Xie Yunche couldn't understand how he could fall for a Beta like Bian Yao. In their eyes, Betas were dull and ordinary, with nothing interesting about them.

Xie Yunche only smiled. "He's so persistent that I almost feel sorry for him. So why not have a little fun?"

But no one could have imagined that, as soon as university graduation was over, that Beta would dump the Alpha without a shred of mercy.

Xie Yunche made a threat, sneering, "Bian Yao, don't come crawling back to me on your knees later."

Then, three years later, Xie Yunche heard that Bian Yao was about to marry another Beta.

By then, he had also found a document in the place where Bian Yao used to live, a document that had not yet been destroyed: Bian Yao's plan for his life.

Mother said that life is full of twists and turns. How can you know which pitfalls to avoid if you never get hurt?

Xie Yunche is rich and powerful. People like him are pitifully short on genuine feelings. If I date him, I can experience what it feels like to be abandoned, to have my pride crushed.

Xie Yunche turned the page without expression and saw Bian Yao's plans for the rest of his life.

After my heart is broken, I still won't understand the meaning of life. Just then, a Beta will come into my life, comfort me, and soothe my pain. We will get married three years later.

This is Bian Yao's happy life.

Xie Yunche flew to the place where Bian Yao lived. He wanted an explanation from him.

But when he got to the door, Xie Yunche suddenly realized that Bian Yao hadn't just deceived him.
