[A The Grave Robbers' Chronicles fanfic featuring Ah Ning, written to give her a better ending.] [A shrewd, quirky college girl and a ruthless, formidable mercenary]
I was just hiking on a beautiful weekend night when I ended up in the "Snake Marsh Ghost City" arc of The Grave Robbers' Chronicles, at the place where Ah Ning was bitten to death by a wild chicken-neck snake.
It was by this waterfall that the snake bit Ah Ning on the neck. Her resentment and ambition stayed there forever, and she became fertilizer for the swamp.
What a messed-up world. I stared down at the mud beneath my feet, lost in thought.
Since things had come to this and I was already here, I didn't want to watch her die again.
The moment the wild chicken-neck snake attacked Ah Ning, I threw myself at it.
Damn it, the snake didn't bite me. Ah Ning killed it, and I was mortified.
I'd thought I was about to die, so I'd poured my heart out to her and confessed everything.
It would've been perfect if I'd dropped dead right after, but I was still very much alive and kicking.
It was so awkward.
To stay alive, I went with them.
That night, through the orange-red firelight, Ah Ning asked me why I'd saved her.
I put on an act and said I'd save anyone.
She believed me.
I cried.
Theme: Making up for regrets
I've finished reading it, it's very exciting (≧w≦). What I was most upset about when watching The Stealing Book was the death of A Ning. Maybe she died like this in the world of The Stealing Book written by Uncle San, but in a parallel world, she was living sweetly with Lin Lin ❤️
It's very beautiful, very real, and very life-like. The characters are very soulful, complex, changeable, and three-dimensional. I really like the female characters written by the author, they feel free, brave and fresh. Thank you for bringing me such a great story. I'm glad I didn't miss this book.
Finished spreading flowers, thank you for writing such a good article. Lin Lin and Aning live happily together in another world, looking forward to the extra chapter 😭
Very true, thank you author
Throw flowers!!!!!! [Spread flowers][spread flowers]
