As a human, the player completed the hidden quest to ascend to godhood in the Western fantasy full-dive game Gaze of the Gods, even though it was far beyond their level.
The moment the solo quest was complete, the developers announced that the closed beta was about to end. There was still a little time left, though, and players could either log out or stay in the world until the beta ended.
So at last, the combat-focused player put down their weapons, turned their attention to the people around them, and tried to get along with their followers.
Taking stock, the player realized the children they'd picked up or who had started following them came in a surprisingly wide variety: a holy temple's saint, a blood clan prince, the Lord of the Abyss, an imperial general, an elven king, a deep-sea siren, a six-winged angel, a new dragon king, a silver wolf boy...
...How... how had they accidentally collected so many extraordinary people? And how had all those little brats grown into such powerful figures? What was going on?
Completely overlooking the fact that the weak couldn't survive by their side, the player fondly rubbed the little dog in their arms. Its silver-white tail drooped and swished back and forth, tickling the player's calves.
Resting their chin on one hand, the player watched the final twenty seconds tick away. Just then, the Lord of the Abyss walked into the hall. The player had a soft spot for this little brat, the one they'd rescued from the Abyss and raised for the longest time. He liked to say the opposite of what he meant, but tsundere was still in fashion! And sometimes he made uniquely adorable faces.
So the player beckoned him over.
“Semyao, come here.”
The Lord of the Abyss gave a scoffing snort and folded his arms, looking displeased.
“My name isn't Semyao. It's Samuel. And are you calling me over like, ”
The countdown reached zero, and everything came to an abrupt halt. The player's eyes idly skimmed the notification, but they couldn't help wondering, with a little mischievous glee, about that final scene before the game ended.
Would he cry? Who else but the player knew that the Lord of the Abyss was actually a little crybaby?

After the System announcement ended, the player left the full-dive pod and returned to their quiet life.
When the game officially launched, the player fiddled with the character creation panel, choosing a face and build to suit their tastes. This time, they decided to use an alt. Their main was already max level, after all.
They had no desire to deal with the social ties attached to their main, so this time they planned to build their strength slowly and enjoy the scenery while taking it easy. They had spent so much time fighting across the lands before that they had hardly had a chance to appreciate the world. And if they ever ran into something they couldn't beat, they could always bring out their main.
Then they discovered how much fun farming was, and decided they'd farm for the rest of their life.
But what was going on? How had this perfectly nice world become such a mess?
The player ground their teeth, their hoe and sickle twitching in their hands. Then they discovered that the source of the chaos seemed to be the brats they'd raised before.
...You idiots have a death wish, disturbing me while I'm farming? Just wait till I bring out my main and beat the stuffing out of you!
Stirred by the player's emotions, the sleeping deity cast a glance down upon the world.
A player adored by everyone, and a complete combat fanatic. They prefer beating everyone up to winning them over, and ultimately ascended to godhood by ending wars through force. A war god in the early game, and the Supreme God in the late game.
Not oblivious to romance. A straightforward type, but mischievous, with a whole lot of one-sided crushes pointed their way.
Susu is a girl, but when she's in her main character's god form, she can change her gender. People mistake her and her main for having an ambiguous relationship.
