Blurb:

[The Mute Buddha]: A naked corpse kneels in worship before the Buddha, its knees pierced with nails. It kneels for sins committed twenty years ago.

[The Mirror Bride]: Grandma says there's a mirror in the village that ate my older sister and is going to eat me, too.

...No, the mirror isn't what eats people.

[The Human-Skin Puppets]: They say you must never paint eyes on paper figures. Yet a certain cellar is full of paper figures with eyes, and human skins hang one after another on the stone walls.

[Nuo-Mask Corpses]: A burial pit full of corpses wearing nuo masks is discovered at a coffin shop. But why are the faces beneath the masks so familiar?

[Puppet Show]: Human skin on the outside, human bones within. Black threads pierce skin and flesh, and everyone is a puppet on a string.

[Several Tales of the Mortal World]: Hundreds and thousands of living people are sacrificed. Do they go willingly or are they forced? Beneath the skins of the many eminent monks and sorcerers, are they demons, ghosts, or beings that eat ghosts?

To be continued...

In the ninth year of Zhenming, demons and ghosts run rampant. The people have long suffered at their hands, yet have no way to fight back.

So demon hunters come into being.

But Wen Jinhe is different from other demon hunters. She doesn't want to hunt demons.

In fact, there's a great demon right by her side.

When the Demon King appears once more, the truth behind the disaster that plagued the mortal world years ago is finally revealed.

Only at the end does she understand that what demon hunters hunt isn't demons, but the ghosts lurking in people's hearts.

Wen Jinhe has been different from other people since childhood.

Whenever her fingers touch blood, she can see that person's past or future.

But one day, she accidentally gets some of Pei Yin's blood on her.

She is horrified: Why is this guy wearing wedding clothes and smiling so happily? And why is he kissing me?!

Wait, am I the one marrying him?!

Past and present lives / Ensemble cast in the martial world / Demon hunting and strange tales / Love and hatred / Happy ending

Habitually patient and restrained, wooden heroine x Male lead who seems dashing and carefree but is actually a bitter, gloomy husband

The martial world has a rumor: Xue Qunyu, young master of Dangxue Tower, has someone he hates to the bone. That person once cut out half his heart, then vanished without a trace.

Everyone thinks Xue Qunyu will find the heart-stealer, drink her blood, eat her flesh, and sleep in her skin.

He does find her, after all, and goes to great lengths to keep her confined by his side.

Xue Qunyu thinks he will be strong enough to torment her in every way, but things never go as planned.

One night, he looks into those eyes as deep as a still pool and demands through gritted teeth:

"Jiang Chanyi, I have only one question. Do you love me or not?"

*

"Jiang Chanyi, I'm like a dog you've raised. No matter how you treat me, all you have to do is crook your finger, and I'll come running."

"The ironic thing is, I'm willing to do it."

Survival Guide for the Unknown App

A plain, unremarkable office worker x a devoted police detective

Blurb:

On her way home from work, Yu Xi receives a message: a junk text from an unknown app.

She frowns and swipes right to delete it, but the app pops up a window like a virus.

It says, "Would you like to foresee your fate?"

She taps no without hesitation, but she can't get rid of it.

So she tentatively taps "Yes," and another window pops up.

It says, "You will die on the first day of snowfall every year."

Yu Xi curses under her breath. What a childish scam.

But three days later, her body is found beneath an overpass on the first snowy day of the year.

Zhou Yubai is the captain of the H City criminal investigation squad. Early in the morning, he receives a report that a woman's body has been found beneath an overpass.

When he arrives at the scene, he discovers that the body belongs to an old classmate.

There are no signs of a struggle around the victim. The only thing beside her is a phone.

He picks it up and unlocks it, finding a very strange app on the screen.

Curious, he taps it and is sent back eight years.
