//Also known as A Snowfall to Come//
On her way home from work, Yu Xi received a message: a spam notification from an unfamiliar app.
She frowned, swiped right, and tapped Delete, but the app popped up a window like a virus.
It read, "Would you like to know your fate?"
Of course, she tapped No, but no matter what she did, she couldn't close it.
So she tentatively tapped Yes, and another window appeared.
It read, "You will die on the day of the first snowfall every year."
Yu Xi cursed under her breath. What a childish scam.
But three days later, on the first snowy day, her body was found beneath an overpass.
Zhou Yubai is the captain of the H City Criminal Investigation Brigade. Early one morning, he received a report that a woman's body had been found beneath an overpass.
When he arrived at the scene, he discovered that the deceased was an old classmate.
There were no signs of a struggle around the victim, only a phone beside her.
He picked it up and unlocked it, finding a very strange app on the screen.
Curious, he tapped it, only to return to eight years earlier with a single click.
