Questioning the Way with a Clear Heart

A cool, straightforward but teasing hundred-year-old girl × a calculating younger loyal puppy who pretends to be obedient

While searching for her eldest sister, Mingxin meets a frail young boy. Since he has her sister’s jade pendant, Mingxin has no choice but to take him along and bring him back to Shangling Qingxu. She names him Qingxu. After more than a year of recovery, she has to take Qingxu with her because of a god who is about to disappear. The well-behaved Qingxu is quiet and never makes a fuss, always staying by Mingxin’s side. But his dreams are too alluring to speak of. Mingxin plots to enter his dream, and Qingxu lets her in. There, she learns how he feels, makes him sad, and lets them “fall in love” with each other, but only in the dream. Just as she is about to confess her feelings, the evil sect gets in the way. The words left unspoken turn into this the moment Mingxin opens her eyes: “You are my wife.”

Huh?

Mingxin is confused. That can’t be right. Oh, well, she’ll play along.
