A Volt of Heartbeats

[A sweet online-dating story, free to read, not paywalled]

Blurb:

Jiang Nian starts dating someone online. He's got a six-pack and stands 188 centimeters tall.

But there's something strange: whenever they plan to meet in person, he always finds an excuse to back out.

She only finds out when his older brother shows up at her door that the person she's been dating online is actually a middle-schooler who uses a Kidizoom smartwatch phone and solves simultaneous linear equations?

The guy had been using his brother's photos to date her online all along...

After that, Jiang Nian decides to close off her heart and start over.

Things aren't going much better for Qi Jiashuo. After getting a stern lecture from his older brother, he decides to turn over a new leaf and study hard.

Qi Yu: "No need. If you've started dating, you have to take responsibility for her."

Qi Jiashuo blinks. "Who's taking responsibility?"

Qi Yu: "Me!"
