Blurb:
Little fox Su Ji came down from the mountain to take human form. What could she possibly be up to when she flicked her tail? She only wanted to find a certain elixir, that's all.
As luck would have it, she ran into a Taoist priest. His long silver-frost sword brimmed with a chilly aura, and his white robes were as plain as silk. He was exactly the marvelous remedy Su Ji had been searching for.
Su Ji tried every trick in the book, shamelessly sticking to Shi Qi's side.
She curled up in Shi Qi's arms and cooed for him to hold her. He looked impatient and snapped, "If you don't behave, I'll throw you to the wolves!"
She rolled around in the water and came back covered in mud. He turned to the others with a look of disgust and said, "Don't bother with her!"
"..."
After watching him for a while, Su Ji figured out that Shi Qi was all bark and no bite. She pretended to care about the greater good, deliberately got herself hurt, and successfully tricked him into giving her the elixir so she could take human form.
She had meant to run off at once, with each of them going their separate way and never meeting again.
But Shi Qi changed his mind. He fastened a demon-binding rope around her ankle and said softly, "You'll keep following me!"
With their strength so unevenly matched, Su Ji had no choice but to give in and follow Shi Qi with half her heart in it.
But a fox's nature is hard to change. With such a handsome Taoist by her side, it was only natural for her to start entertaining other thoughts.
Shi Qi asked, "Aren't you cold? This thick quilt should keep you warm."
Su Ji muttered under her breath, "A quilt isn't as warm as your arms!"
Shi Qi frowned. "What did you say?"
Su Ji waved her hands guiltily. "N-nothing."
The little fox had it all figured out: a demon and a Taoist could never have a happy ending, but there was no harm in taking advantage of him.
Who could have guessed things would grow more and more wrong, until Shi Qi actually took her words seriously?
Shi Qi gazed at her sleeping face, his eyes full of tenderness, and murmured to himself, "Even if you never reveal your true form, I'll still be happy to hold you."
Su Ji pretended to be asleep. She didn't believe a word he said. Humans were always good at sweet-talking.
Later, when the heavens changed, he thrust five fingers into his own chest. His feeble breath brushed against Su Ji's ear as he said, resolute and almost mad, "I've given you my heart. Don't ignore me."
She believed him.

Liuzhou students love chicken feathers. . What he loves most is himself
I finished reading it on August 24, 2023. I found the beginning and the end quite attractive, but the part about praying for rain in the middle was a bit cumbersome.
The little tailor is as good as Shi Qi
This is so interesting. "Second uncle, you were also arrested." Hahahaha
"Qi" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ its voice
The writing is very good, the writing is very delicate, and I like the story very much, so keep up the good work! (Waving flags and shouting)
I'm so speechless. If I can go into battle and kill the enemy, why can't I kill Li Yuan? It's so illogical. .
If it feels right, it should be oral.
