Starting the Game from the Abyss [The Fourth Calamity]

There's a game System floating in front of my eyes all the time. How is that not a mental illness?

Welcome to the Abyss Mental Health Retreat.

★

After losing a power struggle in the Empire, he hides in Abyss Asylum. He thinks he's the only genuinely mentally ill person in this "shelter," but then he discovers that everyone here, doctors included, is completely abnormal.

That is, until the game goes live and the "Fourth Calamity" descends upon the entire universe.

At that point, he realizes he might be the sanest person in the whole asylum.

To control players, you need enough rewards and enough opportunities for battle. And he happens to have a "main quest" capable of attracting players: fight his way back to the Imperial homeworld and reclaim everything that belongs to him.

...Wait, now that he has the Fourth Calamity under his control, why not dream bigger?

Content warning: a dark, morally chaotic, little bastard protagonist
