Shi Yu signed up for a hugely popular livestream dating show.

A veteran in the industry, the show was not only popular but also known for its quality:

Every couple it brought together ended up at least getting married, with two kids within three years as the standard. Happy families with plenty of descendants were nothing unusual!

Twenty-five-year-old Shi Yu, who had been single her whole life, rubbed her hands together excitedly.

Separated by a screen and speaking through voice changers, contestants chose their soulmates based purely on conversation.

Shi Yu had expected to settle for whoever she got, but never imagined she'd find her destined partner in the very first round.

They had the same tastes, hit it off in conversation, and even had eerily similar little quirks.

Shi Yu, excited: Come on out, my fated other half!

The next second, the curtain dropped.

Shi Yu: "..."

Shi Yu: "???"

First of all, does your production team not take gender into account when matching people?

Second, why did it have to be Qin You?!

The two of them, who couldn't even meet without taking shots at each other, never imagined they would have a 100% match rate.

After that, they couldn't escape each other's clutches in the weekly blind matches. Even when they deliberately picked the wrong answers, they still ended up together.

As the one right in the middle of it all, Shi Yu got more and more invested, even gossiping along with the viewers in her livestream.

"Don't be fooled by how fastidious Male Contestant A is acting. It's just a fake persona. His room's already buried under a mountain of dirty clothes."

"Female Contestant B? She doesn't like A at all. He's just her backup plan. She's actually after C."

"What? D's girlfriend from outside the show has come forward with a tell-all? Tell me everything!"

The viewers happily followed along with the gossip, while kindly warning her:

[Shi Yu, silly girl, stop paying attention to everyone else. Your partner seems to have designs on you!]

Later, when news broke that Shi Yu and Qin You were living together and walking their dog, viewers couldn't help giving them a thumbs-up:

[This dating show really is the Matchmaker incarnate! Every match is spot-on! By the way, when are you two getting married and having two kids within three years?]
