[The gong's past, from his point of view]

Morigoto was once a cold-blooded demon king, until a human who coveted his horns and tail clung to him.

The human, Lin Xiao, was smooth-talking, but truly loved him. Morigoto blushed and allowed the human to court him.

Then Lin Xiao died saving him. Bound by a chain curse, Morigoto sank himself into holy water, growing a pair of disgusting wings and a halo.

An outsider broke in, destroying his bedchamber.

When he opened his eyes, the lover who had been resurrected by the curse was right in front of him.

The young man looked full of life. He stared at him and sucked in a breath:

"Damn! I knew Morigoto was a piece of work, but I never thought he'd be this awful!"

[The shou's main story, told in third person]

I'm a demon king. I woke up one day to find my magic gone, so I had no choice but to take a dip in my nemesis's pool.

The pool was wrecked, my nemesis's house was blown up, and my magic still hadn't come back, but...

I found an angel in the pool!

A beautiful, clingy angel.

And it's not just about being pretty. He's the rare kind of angel who can restore my magic with cuddles!

Until one day, I got home after fighting my nemesis and needed to cuddle the angel to feel better.

The angel's eyes turned red. "Why do you smell like Schultz?"

"..."

Lynn Schultz, demon king of the Kingdom of Sisz. That's me, yours truly. I have my own scent. That's perfectly reasonable.

"Uh... He happened to pass by while we were fighting?"

The angel spread his wings and tightly coiled his sharp-tipped tail around me. His horns entwined with mine.

"That guy's weak as hell. What does he have that I don't?"

A huge shadow spread behind the angel, and a familiar scent burst forth, overbearing and possessive.

My heart gave a jolt.

It was so familiar.

It was the scent of the demon king from the depths of the abyss, the one I'd just fought.
