[A Cool, Unflappable Bottom & A Pure-Hearted, Insecure Younger Top Who Occasionally Goes Off the Rails]
Yan Zhou planned to rent out his vacant house when he met a student looking for a room. The student said he was still in school and didn't have much money, so he only wanted to rent one room. Feeling sorry for him, Yan Zhou thought about how empty his own place was and rented him a bedroom in the house he was living in.
The young man was hardworking. On days when he had no classes, he went out to work during the day, then came back and worked for Yan Zhou at night, helping him with the laundry, cooking, and cleaning for free.
One day, Yan Zhou went out for dinner with friends and got drunk. When he came home that night, he was half-asleep and mistook the young man for his ex, putting an arm around him and falling asleep.
The next morning, before he could figure out why his back and waist were aching, he saw the young man leaning against the side of his bed, face red, earnestly whispering, "Will you take responsibility for me?"
Yan Zhou: ?
No way. Sure, he'd always been pretty casual about romance, but he wasn't the type to sleep with just anyone.
And he definitely wouldn't be desperate enough to sleep with a guy, would he?
"You kissed me last night," the young man said cautiously.
Yan Zhou: "..."
Yan Zhou breathed a sigh of relief and pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling a headache coming on. "Sorry. I was drunk."
One kiss and he had to take responsibility? Was the kid acting childish, or was he really that childish? Muttering to himself, Yan Zhou got out of bed and went to wash up. He decided he might as well stay near the office for the next few days. He didn't want to deal with this childish guy.
But the childish guy wouldn't let it go. He really started treating Yan Zhou like his boyfriend, messaging him every day to report what he was doing, asking why he wasn't coming home, and sending him tons of pictures of delicious food he'd made.
"Are you not coming home tonight either?"
"I've got a surprise for you."
"Why aren't you replying to me? [Crying]"
"It's raining today. I miss you so much."

Yan Zhou's WeChat kept buzzing nonstop. Just seeing the messages gave him a headache.
A coworker beside him teased, "Who's that? Your new girlfriend?"
Yan Zhou sneered. "Some idiot."
The young man was good-looking, but far too young, and Yan Zhou simply wasn't interested. He was just about to kick him out when the young man had an accident and injured his eyes and ears. He said his home was in another city and he had nowhere else to go, and begged Yan Zhou to let him stay for a few more months.
Yan Zhou couldn't bring himself to be so heartless, so he let him stay and recover.
With his eyes bandaged and his hearing impaired, the childish guy could barely get around and wasn't as clingy as before. He usually sat quietly in the living room or on the balcony, staring into space.
Without the clingy chatterbox pestering him, Yan Zhou felt a lot more at ease. He went back to his old playboy lifestyle, even bringing his lovers straight home.
When people asked who the deaf and blind man in the wheelchair was, he'd casually say he was a distant cousin.
His "little brother" couldn't see or hear well, and seemed completely unaware of Yan Zhou's love life.
One time, Yan Zhou lost track of time while keeping someone company. Hearing a commotion inside, he went to check and found the childish guy had knocked things all over the floor. He was about to get angry, but then he heard the young man quietly stammer, "I wanted to ask you for help. I called you for a long time, but you didn't come. I thought you weren't home..."
Yan Zhou was home, of course. He'd just been held up with his lover for a while.
Now he couldn't get angry, so he took the young man's hand and wrote a line in his palm: "I was asleep. Next time, just press the bell."
Yan Zhou didn't feel much when he broke up with his lover. He just had a little drink by himself that night.
In the middle of the night, while he was half-asleep, Yan Zhou suddenly felt something cold fall on his face...
An unfamiliar breath brushed his ear. He jolted awake and saw a pair of bloodshot eyes.
"Yan Zhou, am I your little brother?" the other person asked, one word at a time.
It was the first time the other person had called him by name so coldly.
Yan Zhou panicked a little, but he was pinned down and couldn't move.
When the young man saw Yan Zhou trying to get away, his "blind" eyes fixed on Yan Zhou's face. He gave a strange smile and rasped, "It's okay. If you like, I can call you big brother at times like this from now on."
[Before You Read]
1. The title was inspired by the song lyric, "She's just my little sister" / doge;
2. The bottom is a suave playboy, while the top is a pure-hearted, insecure puppy. They have a six-year age gap;
3. This should be a short story. I'm just writing for fun, and it might be melodramatic.
Theme: True love is the only unchanging truth
