The Bright Moon Shines on Me

A single-minded little ray of sunshine and an old flame rekindled

After graduating with a master's in education, Song Yaoyao signed a contract with a good high school in a neighboring city.

On her first day, she stopped with her new-hire paperwork in hand outside the school administrators' office, her hand poised to knock.

From the depths of her memories came a cool, distant voice she had not heard in a long time: "This soft, delicate, inexperienced young lady should spend two years gaining experience with the first-years. Our second-years can't afford to keep changing teachers."

Song Yaoyao pushed open the door. Xu Siyi was leaning against the window, casually scanning her resume with the same detached indifference as ever.

The bell rang, and the students hurried back to their classrooms.

At the bend in the stairwell, the storage-room door stood half open. Song Yaoyao pushed at the person nuzzling her neck. Her touch was so soft it seemed almost like a teasing refusal, and her breath came in damp, uneven gasps. "W-we'll be seen by the students..."

Xu Siyi's warm breath lingered against her bright red earlobe, his voice ambiguous. "The school rules only say students aren't allowed to date."
