The Secret Guard Became a Star Through His Fight Scenes [Ancient Times to Modern Day]

A handsome, muscular, emotionally oblivious bodyguard bottom X a self-deluding, teary-eyed movie-star top

After a lifetime serving as the Crown Prince's bodyguard, Jiang Yu died and transmigrated into a danmei novel set in the entertainment industry. He became the despised, cannon-fodder biological son.

He was found by his birth parents after spending twenty years growing up away from home, but they only loved the adopted son they had raised themselves and always favored him.

He was bad at school, and after graduating high school, he went to Hengdian to play bit parts. At last, he managed to find a boyfriend with a distinctive look. Then he discovered his boyfriend had cheated on him with another distinctive-looking guy, supposedly because they were a better match.

Bodyguard Jiang Yu: I only want to protect the Crown Prince, Lu Ye, from the wolves circling him. As for everyone else? I don't know them.

His biased parents came to ask him to look after their sick, hospitalized adopted son. Jiang Yu: I'm busy.

His cheating ex-boyfriend wanted to borrow money, only to find that Jiang Yu had blocked him everywhere.

When he saw the Crown Prince joining the same production as the treacherous minister who had once plotted a rebellion, Jiang Yu worked hard at his audition and got a bit part in the same show.

Ah! Now he could protect the Crown Prince every moment of the day!

On set.

Movie star Lu Ye: Why does that extra keep staring at me? I'm a man who likes women! Any gay guys lusting after my body, stay at least a mile away!

Movie star Lu Ye: Why did that extra bring me water? He must like me. I won't let gay guys within six feet of me, but I can make an exception for a handsome one.

Movie star Lu Ye: We were only acting, so why did that extra hold me so passionately? Since he's so sincere, maybe I should... return his feelings a little.

Jiang Yu entered the entertainment industry to protect the Crown Prince. He never expected to go from an extra to a distinctive supporting actor, and eventually land the second male lead.

He shot to fame and became a major star.

Reporter: Wow, you're so handsome! Jiang, how do you make your sword dancing look so beautiful, and your light-footed leaps so graceful?

Jiang Yu answered seriously: Because I really can do it.

Reporter: ?

Reporter: And how do you make your crying scenes so moving?

Jiang Yu thought for a moment. If I just imagine Lu Ye is already dead, I start crying right away.

Movie star Lu Ye: ??

Later, once Jiang Yu had seen his Crown Prince safely through the entire production, he prepared to uphold his duties as a bodyguard and slip away without a trace, taking none of the credit.

But movie star Lu Ye pulled him back and trapped him in a corner.

Lu Ye's eyes were red-rimmed and brimming with tears. "You flirt with me and then run away? You heartless bastard!"
